In 2005, Set Free Ministries was invited to Africa for the first time. What our team experienced was a desperate situation, with 50% of the people with aids, 90% unemployment and extreme poverty. During that trip, we noticed 42 orphaned children with no shoes, food, or anyone to care for them. Our response to their need led us to start the first Set Free School, in January of 2006. After more than a decade of growth and expansion, and thousands of lives transformed, we are launching yet another stage of this wonderful journey of freedom and redemption with the launch of a High School and Vocational Training School in Kabakyala, Uganda. Construction is already underway as we are trusting God that He will provide the resources to fund this project.
